Course Description

Workshop 1   "Windows Applications"    Windows XP and Vista

This workshop teaches the student that the Windows Operating System’s has many applications that can assist them in Maintenance, Troubleshooting and Internet Security. Many more topics covered in this 4 hour workshop. You will learn more about your Computer’s Operating System than ever before.

 Workshop 2   "The Windows Explorer"

The “Windows Explorer” workshop instructs the student how to incorporate File Management on their Personal Computers. Learn how to move files between Secondary Storage Devices and locate lost files.

Workshop 3   "Software Installation and Removal"

Over 75% of Computer problems are Software related. Software problems can occur when installing new software or adding new hardware with software. Learn several First and Second level troubleshooting procedures before you go to the repair shop.

Workshop 4    "Data Backup and Recovery"

Learn how to Backup your Data before a disaster happens. You will be taught the pros and cons of various Backup Devices and their Media. You will receive Freeware and Shareware software’s to assist you in backing up and restoring your files.

Workshop 5  "PC Security"

Keeping your PC Safe and Secure is your # 1 priority. Using your PC to perform sensitive tasks is becoming more common. Learn how to protect your computer from Viruses, Adware, Root kits and Malware scripts. You will also receive Freeware Antivirus, Firewall and Spyware software’s.

Workshop 6 "CD & DVD Authoring"

Learn how burn CD's and DVD's the right way using Windows and 3rd Party software's. You will learn the different CD and DVD formats and the best drive for needs. Windows XP and Vista burn package will be provided for every student.
